Nisi Masa
Members of NISI MASA, the network of young European cinema, will be present at the Alba Festival from the 5th to the 10th of March. Young people from 19 different countries will unite for the Annual General Assembly of this ever-expanding organisation, which was founded in 2001. Nisimasians include film students, professionals, and enthusiasts who share the following common aims:
- discovering new film talents
- developing cross-cultural audiovisual projects
- fostering European awareness through cinema
- creating a platform of discussion and collaboration for young European filmmakers
NISI MASA will also be publishing two special issues of their festival gazette, Nisimazine, covering the films and events in Alba. Nisimazine is a quality publication written entirely by young European journalists. It has already been present at the Torino Film Festival, DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival and the Festival de Cannes.
Other current NISI MASA projects include an annual European short film script contest, filmmaking and scriptwriting workshops, screenings, and conferences, most often organised within the framework of European film festivals.
